Miles4 … moos, baas, buzzes, bleats and much more!

The Miles4Moos walks will be no more than five miles in length. Short enough that even the littlest legs will be able to complete the course – but long enough to make a BIG difference in Africa. Here’s how:
The concept is simple. For every mile you walk you earn moo money - money that will support Send a Cow’s livestock and sustainable farming programmes in Africa and help transform lives.
Have a look at our Moo-ometer below to give you a guide to what the money you raise could buy.

Get together with your friends, family, school or church group and raise £750 for a dairy cow (or £2,000 for a whole farmyard! ) |
|
| £210 | A pair of oxen makes possible the impossible – helping an African family open up and fertilise tired soil. | |
| £125 | A pair of goats is easier to manage than larger livestock - ideal for young orphan families struggling to survive alone in the world. | |
| £50 | Four rabbits for a poor farmer with little land represents money in the bank and protein on the plate! | |
| £40 | For families struggling to survive on poor land a beehive provides a new livelihood selling honey and wax. And eating honey is healthy too! | |
| £35 | Three sheep for farmers living in Ethiopia’s highlands provides meat, money and manure to revitalise their land. | |
| £20 | Help a farmer turn dry land into a lush, green oasis with the gift of harvest - a starter pack of vegetable seeds and training in organic farming. | |
| £10 | Thirty fruit tree saplings means a farmer can earn a living selling ‘exotic' fruit such as apples and plums - and add essential vitamins to the family’s diet. | |
| £5 | Gives a farmer one day’s training in organic farming practices - and the knowledge to transform their land. | |
The costs above illustrate how the money you raise could help an African family. We hope they inspire you to do some Miles4Moos. If so, call now on 01225 874 222 for your Miles4Moos fundraising pack.
